Round 7 vs UHS-VU
Result: Aquinas 14.5-89 def by UHS-VU 19.12-126
Best Players: J. Jess, M. Jess, P. Jurkovsky, A. Gommers
We arrived at the ground feeling a massive day at the Bloodery, despite a few injuries to some key players we felt pretty good about our chances. From the get go however we were flat and UHS got off to a flyer.
The first quarter was all UHS and despite us trying to lock down the game after the first 20 minutes we couldn’t do anything to stop there run on and they ended up with a four goal lead going into the first break.
The second quarter we started to peg it back and by outscoring them here we felt we were right back in it and went into the large break only two straight kicks down, which we thought was pretty lucky considering their dominance early in the game.
The second half was a non event with UHS again kicking out to a five goal lead and holding onto it the rest of the game.
A fairly feeble effort from the bloods this week and something that definitely needs to be improved on, the week off couldn’t of come at a better time.
No one makes us bleed our own blood.
