Founded in 1981 by former students of Aquinas College in Ringwood, Aquinas Old Collegians Football Club has grown from humble beginnings into one of Melbourne’s proud community football clubs. Originally established as the Aquinas Old Boys Football Club, the club was formed after a meeting at Ringwood Parish Hall where a small group of passionate supporters launched the team with little more than determination, a $50 donation and a vision to build a lasting football culture.

Following early success in the Eastern Suburbs Churches Football Association, including back-to-back premierships in 1983 and 1984, Aquinas joined the Victorian Amateur Football Association in 1987 and immediately claimed another premiership in its debut season. Known as “The Bloods” and recognised by their iconic red, black and green colours, the club has built a strong reputation for resilience, community spirit and player development.

Today, Aquinas continues to thrive across senior men’s, women’s and junior football programs, with premiership success in 1996, 2017 and 2019 further cementing the club’s place as one of the VAFA’s respected and community-driven football clubs.
